Week 3 Preview: Gladiators vs KISS

The Los Angeles KISS will meet with the Cleveland Gladiators on Saturday night at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Both teams have had exact opposite starts to their season. LA started the year with a shocking 69-34 win over the Jacksonville Sharks in Week 1.

LA came back in Week 2, and they didn’t get the same result. They got throttled by the Arizona Rattlers, 69-28. The Gladiators met the Philadelphia Soul in Week 1, they would lose 69-41 to get off to a 0-1 start. They bounced back last week against Tampa, when they won 41-29.

After two different starts, both teams are 1-1, as they look to move over .500. So far, LA has gotten very solid play from new quarterback Nathan Stanley. Stanley has 545 yards and eight touchdowns this season. Stanley has had a consistent weapon to throw to so far.

Captain Morgan has 170 yards and five touchdowns this season. Morgan had three touchdowns in their first game against the Sharks. Also getting off to a good start is Brandon Collins. He has 154 yards and three touchdowns this season.

The Gladiators had to sign a new quarterback after Chris Dieker was injured in Week 1. The replacement was Dennis Havrilla, who had quite a debut.

He had 219 yards and five touchdowns last week. Thyron Lewis will be the main worry for the KISS, he has 180 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Both team’s defenses have been struggling and injured lately, so expect a high scoring game as usual. LA needs to be more careful with the ball, and they need to limit penalties. The two teams will meet on Saturday night on CBS Sports.
