The Philadelphia Soul and Cleveland Gladiators met for the second time this season, with this game in Philadelphia. The Soul had won five straight games over the Gladiators and were looking to make it six in a row.

In the first half, the Soul found themselves down by 15 due to many penalties giving Cleveland fresh sets of downs and two rushing touchdowns from quarterback Dennis Havrilla on the Gladiators first two drives. The Gladiators started out strong, but they did not finish strong in this game.

Quarterback Arvell Nelson came into the game and threw multiple interceptions in the second half, including two in the end zone. The Soul dominated the second half, as quarterback Dan Raudabaugh started the half 8/8 passing. He would finish the game with eight touchdown passes, the second consecutive game he has reached that mark.

Running back Jeramie Richardson continued to play hot against his former team, scoring two touchdowns. For Cleveland, wide receiver Collin Taylor extended his streak of games with a touchdown catch to 20.

The Soul would go on to win the game by a final score of 67-50. They finish their three-game homestand with a 2-1 record. They will travel to Los Angeles next Monday, May 2 to face the KISS in the season's first "Rocks vs Jocks" game. The Gladiators will head back home to play the Orlando Predators, one of the hottest teams in the league thus far.
