The Orlando Predators defeated the Los Angeles KISS 43-40 on Saturday night at the Amway Center in Orlando.

In the first half both teams played outstanding offensively. Orlando and LA combined to score 27 points in the first quarter alone. Going into the second half both teams were looking to pull away and take control.

The Orlando Predators defense buckled down stopping the KISS for the majority of the second half.

With 5:56 remaining in the third quarter, the Predators recovered a forced fumble.
On the following possession the Predators scored on a Brandon Thompkins reception. Thompkins recorded three touchdowns on the day.

As the game was beginning to get out of reach for LA the Predators threw an interception with 10:04 left in the fourth quarter. LA KISS defensive back Fredrick Obi snagged the interception, keeping the LA KISS in the game.

On the ensuing drive the Predator defense answered quick and intercepted a Nathan Stanley pass.

LA scored two late touchdowns in the game with the aid of successful onside kick to keep the score close, 43-40.

However, Orlando was able to run out the clock and preserve the win.

Orlando Quarterback Randy Hippeard completed 22 passes for 273 yards and five passing touchdowns.

Additionally, short yard specialist Larry Brackins scored a rushing touchdown for Orlando.

Orlando is now 4-0 on the year, and they will host the top ranked Arizona Rattlers on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The KISS will go back home to host the Philadelphia Soul next Monday.
