Two National Conference powerhouses will square off from the Honda Center on Saturday night as the Arizona Rattlers(1-0)visit the LA KISS(1-0). The game is set to kickoff at 11ET and will be televised on ESPN2.
The Rattlers are coming off an 80-28 blowout victory over the Portland Steel last week at the Moda Center. After falling behind early, Arizona used a strong offense and a dominant defense to pick up their 4th straight season opening win. Quarterback Nick Davila was 10-16 for 119 yards and five touchdowns, and wide receiver Rod Windsor was on the receiving end of four of them.
The LA KISS come into this game as the most talked about team in the league. After posting just seven wins in their first 36 games, the KISS made several big time offseason acquisitions, including hiring former San Jose Sabercats offensive coordinator Omarr Smith as the head coach. Los Angeles then pulled off an upset over the defending Arena Bowl runner up Jacksonville Sharks in its season opener last week.
This will be the sixth matchup between the Rattlers and the KISS. The Rattlers lead the series 5-0, with the average margin of victory just under 28 points.
