On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Sharks announced that defensive back Keon Lyn will sign with the Washington Redskins' practice squad, leading to his placement on the Other League Exempt List.

Lyn (age 27, 6'1", 205 lbs) has spent his entire two-year Arena Football League career in Jacksonville. This season, he has a total of four tackles (one solo and six assisted).

The Miami native started his football career at Miramar High School, leading his team to a state championship in his senior season in 2009, where he was named a Broward County All-Star. That year, he recorded 119 tackles and five interceptions.

In his four-year college career at Syracuse University, he recorded 75 solo tackles, six interceptions, and a forced fumble. He also scored a defensive touchdown in his junior and senior seasons.

After the 2014 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts signed Lyn, but he did not make the final 53-man roster. Since he was assigned to the Sharks in 2015, he also spent time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League, as well as time with two more NFL teams, the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following this week's latest transactions, the Jacksonville roster remains at the League maximum of 24 active players.
