Davis is entering his first season in the Arena Football League after spending the last five years in the Canadian Football League, most recently with the defending Grey Cup champion Edmonton Eskimos. Before joining the CFL, he was an undrafted rookie free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He began his collegiate career at the University of Florida, where he was part of the team that won the 2009 National Championship game, before transferring to Jacksonville State.

"Torrey is an excellent player that gives us additional skill in our pass rush," Storm Vice President of Football Operations Jeff Gooch said, "he has a motor and his ability to get to the quarterback are welcome additions to our defense."

Turner is entering his 10th season in the AFL and his first with the Storm. He spent the last
three seasons with the team they face Saturday, the Jacksonville Sharks.

Turner began his AFL career with the Las Vegas Gladiators in 2003. He played for the Kansas City Brigade from 2007-2008, the Spokane Shock in 2010 and the Georgia Force from 2011-2012.

He finished his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech as the school's second all-time sack leader with 29 sacks.

"Jerry brings veteran leadership to our locker room and defensive line," Gooch said on Turner, "his ability to apply pressure on opposing offensive lines will help our entire defensive line."
