2016 Week 12 Preview: Sharks vs Predators

The Orlando Predators will travel to to play in-state rival Jacksonville Sharks on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports Network. 

Orlando (9-2) is on a two game win streak, and is tied for second place in the American Conference behind the Philadelphia Soul. Last week, the Predators defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 59-56 with a last second field goal. 

Quarterback Randy Hippeard has thrown for 2,786 pass yards, 61 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He is having a breakout out year, and is league leader in all passing categories. 

Receivers Greg Carr and Brandon Thompkins have combined for 46 touchdown receptions this season. In addition, Thompkins has six kickoff returns for touchdowns. 

The defense has combined for nine sacks, one touchdown and 13 interceptions. Orlando must improve on defense in order to take control of games moving into the post-season. 

Jacksonville (5-5) defeated the Tampa Bay Storm last week 67-34, but have not played strong consistently this season. They have split the season series with Orlando 1-1. 

Quarterback Tommy Grady has thrown for 2,847 yards, 58 TD's, and six interceptions. 

League leading receiver Joe Hillis has 103 receptions with 1,310 yards and 36 TD's this season. 

Short-yard specialist Derrick Ross has rushed for 14 TD's this season. He leads the league in rushing touchdowns. 

The Jacksonville defense has nine sacks, 15 interceptions, and two touchdowns this season. 

Both teams are familiar with each other, having faced off twice the season. In a nationally televised game look for both teams to play hard and competitive.
