While he plays his home games in Philadelphia, PA, his home is in Oahu, HI, nearly five thousand miles away. Kauleinamoku began playing sports at a young age when his parents got in involved in sports. He gives a lot of credit to his father.
"My father was the one who trained me as a boy," he said, "I lived right next to a community park so my father would take me out there everyday after my homework to work on fundamentals."
Despite playing in North America during the season, during the offseason, he spends his time in Oahu to train and spend time with family and friends. He also enjoys hiking and spending nights on the beach with his fiancée.
Kauleinamoku left Hawaii in 2006, where he would play football at Western Oregon University. He was picked up by the Soul in 2015. In his two seasons there, he's caught 125 receptions for 1,746 yards and 37 touchdowns.
"SK has been a great addition to our receiving core," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said, "he is a huge team player and a great leader on and off the field.
In their loss to the Cleveland Gladiators last week, SK reached two milestones, when he caught his 400th career pass and surpassed 5,000 receiving yards in his five-year AFL career.
