Sharks Cancel Halloween in June Night

In light of the recent tragic events in Orlando, the Jacksonville Sharks made an announcement today asking all fans planning to attend to dress appropriately for Saturday night's game against the Orlando Predators.

Sharks Operating Manager Jeff Bouchy released the following:
“Our fans continue to be the most creative in the Arena Football League. I strongly encourage our fans not to dress up as horror film villains. While we all love Halloween and want everyone to have as much fun as possible during this game, please be sensitive to the state of our country and our friends in Orlando. Our fans will be representing our city to a national television audience on CBS Sports, so I know we will do our city proud in the wake of this terrible tragedy.”
Over the years, there has been a terrific display of costumes ranging from fun characters and superheroes to the worst of the worst in the horror genre. However, the Sharks franchise understands the gravity of the current societal situation, and therefore made the decision to remind fans of the special circumstances.

Kickoff is set at 7 p.m. ET at Sea Best Field at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena as planned, and the game will still be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
