2016 Week 11 Preview: Predators vs Gladiators

The long road to get back home starts this week for Cleveland. The first part of three straight games on the road starts this Saturday in Orlando at the Amway Center. The Gladiators six game road trip will be broken up right in the middle with the league wide bye week for the 4th of July, Cleveland's actual bye week will be Week 18, the last week of the regular season.

The Week 18 bye will also be shared with conference leader Arizona. Cleveland lost to the Rattlers last week and now sit two games behind in the National Conference, but with the KISS losing, in a crazy finish on a saftey that had not occered in an AFL game since July 13th 2002, when the KISS lost to the Predators on a game-ending safety, a game where Los Angeles never trailed until the final horn. With that, Cleveland stays as the fourth overall seed and still control their own path towards getting back home for the playoffs.

Who To Watch For:

For Cleveland:

Arvell Nelson. This multiple-threat quarterback has been a different quarterback late in games and it has cost Cleveland. Nelson, now has eight fourth quarter turnovers, that accounts for 89% of his total mistakes on the season. Still, Nelson has given the Glads a big boost to the offense and gives them the best chance to win.

For Orlando:

Brandon Thompkins.

Thompkins is the fastest treath on one of the best receiving cores in the league. Last week Thompkins had two missed field goal returns for scores, 55 and 56 yards respectively. Thompkins now has six return scores on the season, counting all return stats, where he leads the league in yards by over 200.

With only two passing touchdowns last week and questions on who the quarterback for Orlando will be this week, it all makes Brandon Thompkins a very important piece of the Preds attack.

This weeks game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET tomorrow night and can be seen on ESPN3 via the Watch ESPN app.
