The Tampa Bay Storm has acquired wide receiver Tristan Purifoy, the team announced on Thursday. This move was made after jack linebacker Rick-J Hill was put on injured reserve after suffering what appeared to be a spine/neck injury in the Storm's loss to the Philadelphia Soul last Saturday. Hill lead the team with 25 tackles, a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery in five games.

Purifoy is in his third season in the Arena Football League and the second with the Storm. He spent 2014 with the Jacksonville Sharks. During the 2015 season, he only played three games for the Storm. He has caught 22 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns over the course of his career.

He began his collegiate career at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, MS before transferring to North Alabama. During his time with the Lions, he played 22 games. He caught 73 passes for 1,041 yards and nine touchdowns.

He's not just a wide receiver, however. Purifoy has also spent time as a jack linebacker. He recorded 7.5 tackles on defense with the Storm in 2015. The Storm are in Orlando to take on the undefeated Predators. The Storm are still searching for their first win of the season.
