The Los Angeles KISS took on the Portland Steel in an unexpected home game on Monday night. LA was looking to shake off a two game losing streak, while Portland was looking for their first win.

The KISS defense dominated Portland's offense. It started with the Steel's very first possession. Josh Victorian picked off newly acquired Darron Thomas, and took it all the way to the promise land. LA took the early 7-0 lead on the Steel.

On the next Steel possession, they had a response to the KISS. Josh Perry caught a 29 yard touchdown from Thomas, tying the game at 7.

After that, the KISS started to blow the game open. Captain Morgan converted on a four yard receiving touchdown, then Brandon Collins caught one from Nathan Stanley that gave LA the 27-7 lead. Tom Gilson caught a touchdown to cut the LA lead to 27-14, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Morgan continued his dominance in the third, catching another touchdown this time from six yards out. Then D.J Stephens caught a 23 yard touchdown pass, giving LA the decisive 39-14 edge. Gilson caught another touchdown to cut the lead to 39-21.

Right after, Brandon Collins responded, catching a 10 yard touchdown to put LA up 46-21. Terrance Mitchell took a kick return back 55 yards for Portland, but it didn't matter. LA had two more pick sixes, and one more Morgan touchdown, which gave them the 66-21 victory.

Morgan finished with four touchdowns. Stanley went 23-31 with seven touchdowns. Thomas had five interceptions in his first start with the Steel. Both teams had 19 first downs apiece. LA has a bye week, before heading to the dessert to take on the Arizona Rattlers.
