2016 Week 7 Preview: Rattlers vs Soul

After a disappointing effort last week in Orlando, the Arizona Rattlers will return to the field on Saturday as they visit the Philadelphia Soul in the AFLs game of the week.

The Rattlers are coming off a 77-59 loss last week to the Orlando Predators in the AFLs battle of the unbeatens. Arizona clearly missed the presence of defensive back Kerry Reed as the Predators scored at will against the Rattlers defense.

Head coach Kevin Guy understands that in order to win a championship you have to have adversity at times throughout the season, but noone expected the Rattlers to be beat like this.

The Soul are coming off a dominant win on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Storm. After falling behind 10-0, the Soul outscored the Storm 47-7 on their way to victory, their 4th straight. Reigning MVP Dan Raudabaugh has shown why he was the MVP last year as he has thrown for 1511 yards and 36 touchdowns.

This is a big game for the Soul and their fans. The Soul are 0-6 all time against Arizona, but two of those losses came in the biggest game of the year. In ArenaBowls XXV and XXVI, the Soul were denied a chance at the championship by the Rattlers. You can bet the Soul will have revenge on their minds.
