"Johnathon is a quarterback that has quick release that is needed for the indoor game," Gooch said, "We look forward to seeing him come out to compete in training camp.
Bane played his collegiate football at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. During his time there, he was a three-time All-Great Plains Athletic Conference selection. He also led the Tigers to an 8-3 record during his senior season, the fourth 8-3 season in program history.
When he graduated, he finished with just under 10,000 yards passing yards and 83 touchdowns. He also finished as the school's all-time leading passer.
Bane may be a rookie in the Arena Football League, but he is not a rookie out of college. He is the former QB of the Indoor Football League's Richmond Raiders. He will now look to compete for the Storm's starting QB job when the team begins training camp March 10.
