The Jacksonville Sharks, coming off the 2015 season that saw them win the American Conference, announced that the team will hold an open player tryout on Saturday, Feb.13 at the Orange Park Athletic Association Field located at 1086 Fromhart Street in Orange Park.
The tryout, open to anyone over age 18 who has completed high school, and is not currently under contract with any professional football team, will begin promptly at 9 a.m. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and participants are encouraged to bring the completed 2016 Tryout Packet (available at jaxsharks.com), and bring a cash payment of $80. No other forms of payment will be accepted.
This year’s tryout will take place on a natural grass surface, so all players are required to bring appropriate footwear. The tryout will feature a combination of drills, including the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, and other position-specific drills. Kickers will not be evaluated at this year’s tryout.
Once each player has been properly evaluated by head coach Les Moss and the Sharks coaching staff, the tryout will conclude.
